I vote to eliminate all practice and we have triple points races! :PQuote:

2. We will continue to use a percentage for the number of drops per season. This allows us to maintain consistency. Citing a specific number of drops, as we did in 2004, proved to be a problem.
3. Drops will always be a part of our series procedures. This is club/amateur racing. As such, we have to be flexible in providing people the ability to drop races/weekends throughout the year for various reasons.
4. Sunday's 40min R3 will be a single points race. While it's twice as long as our usual 20min race, we don't wish to change the points structure part way thru the season - it's been made clear to the series directors that the racers don't like last minute changes. We can address this at our banquet for next season.
5. Regarding weekend schedule changes - we have to remember that AI/CMC isn't the only group NASA Texas has to be concerned with. There are 6-8 other groups that all get track time as well. They've been flexible and accomodating, but we can't go overboard with last minute changes to the schedule. Again, it's been made clear the racers don't like last minute changes.
6. See you folks at the track in a few days! :)
What's that smell? FRESH MEAT out on the track!!!! :lol:Quote:

Adam, I am in agreement with 100% of your comments....however, with regards to Item 4...who is dictating the format/number of races for the weekend. Last time I spoke with Clifton at lunch on Sunday, his comment was "don't sweat it, this is going to be the ONLY 40 minute AI/CMC race this year.." Seems as something has changed.....but I do like the fact they sent it out a week ahead of time. Hope my Toyos don't explode! :PQuote:
