Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make this one. I just found out that my 2 year old is having his adnoids removed on that Friday. I'll be playing the "Daddy" role that weekend.
You guys keep it clean on the track.

Our prayers are with you and your family. Catch you in August.
Take care of the kiddo Marshall.
I planning to be there. Still too early to guarantee it though.
Hope everything goes well.
I hope to make it out for some more hpde but too early to tell due to the engine. Would like to get some time on the track as I plan on actually racing there in october.
Whats the kids situation at the race? My wife asked me last night if the kids would be attending. Jeff, James, Glenn? Maybe she will come out to the track for a little while with my stepdaughter. So I won't be riding with Taco any that weekend.

Too early to tell for my wife.... she will have to weigh her options. :roll:Quote:

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. It's really not a big deal... outpatient 20 minute procedure. However, he will be put 100% under so we aren't sure how he is going to feel for the days following the operation.
Unfortunately the earliest he could get us in was the race weekend. Bummer.
I'm still getting the car ready to get back on track. Maybe I can run with Apex at MSR-C the last week in June???
Team Dawdy should be there and hopefully both of us.
I will not dive bomb my team mate this time since it is for points and stuff
I cant take off any more work and I hate Houston, so only time will tell if I make it, but I am planning on it for now.
Did they move some more walls onto the straight away to make it interesting?
i'm going to be there. i will know if the wife and kids are comming the week of. got to see what the heat is going to be like.
I'll be there.
Good luck Marshall...but what are adnoids?? :?:
Adnoids are in the nasal cavity at the top of the sinus. They basically sit in front of the eustation tubes (what allows your ears to equalize pressure). Gage's are enlarged and are blocking his eustations tubes and allowing fluid to build up in his ears, thus compromising his hearing and speech development.
Normally they are not very large and go away in the adolescent years, but sometimes hang around into adulthood (I had mine removed last year). I guess it may be hereditary.
Team Dawdy most likely will not be there. My presence is required else where that weekend. I was looking forward on attending too
Scott and I should be there, even thou we both dispise MSRH...as well as the Ford event the next week in Tulsa
Skip
I will be there with new oil pump and bearings. PS. Those little trouble makers are adenoids. Adenoidectomy in a 2 year old is usually not to bad. He'll do fine. FMR
Great to hear, Frank!!!
I think AJ Brass will be there as well in his AI car.
I'll be there.
Here's an update from what I've seen/heard:
1) Turn 17 has been significantly upgraded. In order to minimize the debris in the turn, the berms were worked on and the run-off area is loaded with new pea-gravel to prevent off/ons. On the infield side some work has been done to assist with drainage. The racing surface has been stripped of all the sealer which now provides a ton more grip. Last I heard, the wall remains where it was, however, IMO the contributing factors leading up to the wall have been substantially minimized. Should be a great event! (We need practice running near walls if we're going to try the Grand Prix of Houston next year!!! hint...hint.... 8)
2) Last Clifton and I spoke, the plan was for four 20 minute races. This was primarily due to the heat during the summer months. We'll see how the weather keep up and what our Race Director is thinking as the event comes closer.

Thanks for the update Todd!! :)Quote:

Thanks for all
The Smiths
Raising hand...will attend.
Will keep mouth shut...
Will remain seen but unheard...except for the car. It's still pretty loud!
Will be running AIX...don't want to mess up the AI points race....unless there is a track record in it for me. Besides, Skip needed some company!
This was just a posting speed bump and your screens will return to normal shortly.
Have a nice day! :)
OK ... based upon what Todd has posted about track changes, I will give MSR-H one more chance.
I'm in for June 23/24 ....
You guys have fun... I am coming to the August TWS event. It's my anniversary that Sunday and Trina's giving me a free pass that weekend as an anniversary gift. I could't ask for anything more!
Now I need to get back in the garage and keep putting the car back together.
I'm planning to be at Houston - and even run the car this time! CMC 1 has been gone through and is ready to run - even checked the banjo bolts on the brake calipers. I can't wait - if my boss screws this one up too, I will be pissed and likely unemployed - leaving more time for racing - hey that might work out well after all!!
 smartass....see you at the frame shop in the morning!
That's right, Todd finally took the Ranchero the the frame shop. I will continue to keep after him.
I'll be there as well. I got the transmission out last week to diagnose the problem from TWS. I took the top plates off and we saw that the tranny was still in 5th even though the shifter appeared to be in neutral. A quick push on the fork and it went back into neutral and everything works great now.
I called and spoke to the guy at Hanlon and he said that he has heard of this happening but it's extremely rare. It must have been b/c of some poor shifting.
I just need to get her back together, change out the upper c/a bushings in the rear, put the intake back on after the lifter change, and go get my new set of rubbers scrubbed in. 8)
Mike this is supposed to be a CLEAN site...careful about posting your recreational plans!!! :PQuote:

What hotel is recommended for this track?
the Best Western in Angleton.
Glenn.... What was the name of the crappy hotel we stayed in last time?
The Best Western is full except for smoking rooms.
Best Value
3rd choice? Best Western and Best Value are booked.

Al.... I have a spare bead in the nice Best Value.
What is the deal for paddock at MSR-H? I did not pay for a garage.
Also, in the non garage spots, is there power anywhere? I thought about bringing a fan for the kiddies to stay cool with, but don't own a generator.
