Looked at the schedule and registration. Surprised the cost isn't lowered since the track time is significantly lower. Wonder what that will do as far as car count.
I was hoping they wouldn't do HPDE stuff so that we would still get in a full weekend of racing and track time. Since I feel I need seattime more than anything I think I will compare this event to other such as SVT, Drivers edge, etc
All I get is March 14-15 registration both on the NASA national page and the TX page...

I agree BL. Total BS to take time away from us for the enduro. We should pay less if we get less track time. The enduro should have to stand on it's on and our race entry fees should not help cover the cost of the enduro. I don't have anything against the enduro but I don't like losing track time or paying for it if I'm not in it. They could do the enduro after the end of a full day of racing for us. Using lights and making sure there are enough entries to cover the extra track time. I also agree with BL that if time is an issue why not dump the HPDE's? Am I misinformed and this is not the way it is?Quote:

Look on the national site, www.nasaproracing.com, click on event registration and then click on event #931 TWS. This link has the enduro fees and also the sprint races at $200 for both days!!
DO NOT CLICK ON EVENT #822, THIS IS THE REGULAR PRICE

MM-$200 is the entry for the sprint races if you are doing BOTH the Enduro and Sprint races. Combined it is $1,000. Only people I know that would get those prices are Glenn and Dr. Frank.
If you are only doing the 3 sprint races like all but 2 of us the entry fee is the regular $325. With that comes one less sprint race and one less practice or qual whichever way you look at it. Another problem is sharing the track with Group 7 which (no offense Martin) will likely cause caution flags resulting in only a few laps of green racing.
Quoting the #931 registration page...
"Enduro & Race Combination Entry, YOU MUST ENTER BOTH for this registration. Please go to the other registration for this event if you are not doing a combo entry. "
I haven't tried this but:
Just register for the $200 sprint races, no enduro needed. See if it works.
You already on that Keystone or hitting that white girl?Quote:

Ok, just talked to Clifton who talked to Shannon. The $325 price is correct.
$40 off normal price then?

It is obvious things don't add up right. :?
I don't want a discount, I want the track time. I think we are subsidizing the enduro. If they end up with a great number of cars in the enduro then they could lower the price to us for the race. I wouldn't hold my breath.Quote:

i'm more worried about sharing w/ group 7. last event was yet another example of why i dont like them. i cant ever remember seeing a AI/CMC car needing assistance off the track due to contact.
i also think the HPDE should be considered for removeal from this event. possibly only allow TT racers to run (1 HPDE group).
Can Moonlight get us some "Please don't hit me, Sta... Grp 7" bumper stickers, or is that in bad taste?
well, i dont think they (Stacy) run w/ NASA anymore. but group 7 has a bad reputation w/ us.
i'm not saying you can Gary, but i'll have to give you a stern slap on the wrist if you do.
did i mention i have a great sponsor?

Tell Kadin or Kevin your w/ AI/CMC Texas.
I am only registering for Sunday again. Two races and driving in the enduro gets me qual'd for nats...I think. I have to check on that.
as for the shortage of track time, you guys need to get involved with instructing more for the FREE track time.
Also, the idea of dropping HPDE 1/2 is a good one. Combine 3/4/TT and you also have zero need for instructors to let in for free....equals more revenue.
How do you register online if you are going to instruct and get a comp?
They normally have a section for directors and instructors, my guess is to wait and it will be up in a little while.

I didn't see where to get a garage spot when I entered. Did I miss it?
Jeff
My list shows only 4 people with garages. You might send Jessica an email.
I registered on Friday and it had the garage listed at the bottom of the entry form. I think it was an extra $50.Quote:

I laughed outloud when that hit my mail box.
"Get your entries in or else" note beat the "marketing strategy" by 3 days.
So from that list...Which team is "Team Pro"....?
i dont see them.
