Barber is one bad ass track! If I don't take the pinata to the Nationals I might consider that trip. If you go, keep it on the track. Barber will send you a large bill for any grounds repairs that you cause.
That is a myth. Barber will only charge for armco and guardrails per agreement you will sign upon entering the facility. Prices are stated up front.
Willful negligence may be another story (donuts in the grass lol)
They used to charge for incidental damage, but changed their ways. They used to have ppl sign for paddock spots in order to charge for oil spills etc.
Now, if you spill oil, there is a number to call, and they will send a crew to clean it up.
A little Cheatin Bastard practice video

I am seriously thinking about going.
Cool Bud!
There are quite a few that tell me they are interested.
This event will be NASA's 1st event there.
It is only a little farther than NPR.
Will be a hoot.
I hope you make it.
I can't remember the last time I saw you.
Prolly NPR '05.
How's it hangin!???
jb
It has been a while, probably Hallett. I finally have the car handling right. That track looks way fun, I watched a motorcycle race on Speed yesterday that was held there. It looks like a blast. I am also thinking about going to Heartland Park this year, it has been many years since I have been there.
Add me to the list of interested parties Jeff, and keep me posted on developments.
Alot of chatter on the SE forum about very high car count.
I will register shortly after the nat'l race.
Also alot of chatter about the need for more practice time on Sat.
Haven't heard anything about Fri test day.

got any info on track elevation at Barber? Looking to see if my current dyno would be legal...
Also, how did you guys deal with that at Road Atlanta?...just carry it with you for reference at the track?
The Regional Franchisee (Jim Pantas) owns a dynojet and brings it to the events.
At RA we just ran our current ones
Prolly do the same for Barber.
Dunno the elevation.
Nats we dyno there.
jb
Was just wondering due to the fact you guys went to RA and handed them their butts! Figured they would be keeping a tighter rein on us Texas hooligans this time!Quote:

I wish but I just don't have enough vacation time to cover all the stuff I have to do by the end of October...
Budget is gone since I had to rebuild the tranny and motor... I'm shooting for a few events in '08. :)
Ahhh, cmon.Quote:

I'll make a deal.
If you go, I'll attend the last regional.
Oh, and "Rusty" Regional JB will drive, not the champ.
:P

my comment insinuating i was poorly treated by Team Argent Lab was not intended to be directed at Argent Lab. the comment was poorly worded and wrongfully directed. Robert and all the Argent Lab employees have treated me w/ nothing but respect and have always acted in a very professional manner. I hope Argent Lab accepts my apology and that we are able to continue to work together in the future. I view Robert as a friend first and a racer 2nd. the racer/sponsor relationship we have is and will always be secondary to the friendship I see in Robert.
again, sorry for any miss-understanding this may have caused.
....
Sour grapes.
I'll take you to brunch next time MW.
jb
Sour grapes for what? Over lunch?
I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.
all - please read my previous post and its edited content.
sorry for the original post. it was poorly directed.
Thank you Glenn, apology accepted, although not neccesary. Some rewording would have done just fine.
Personally, I hope you guys can iron out some differences.
Boudy
I hate coming late to the party....all the good stuff is already gone! :x
No kidding... What did I just miss?Quote:
