Door gutting clarification for both AI and CMC

I thought we had a thread here about the door bar rule changes for '08, but I cant find it...

We changed both the AI and CMC rules for '08 to basically just call out the CCR requirements re door bars. Unfortunately we were counting on a CCR change that didnt happen...so we're changing both the AI and CMC rule books to reflect what we need: clarity around the fact that you can gut the door more than "the minimum required".

Both the AI and CMC revised rule books are out on the respective national sites.

I guess we can take whatever material we deem necessary from the doors. I know there was discussion as to whether or not the OEM side impact beams needed to remain if you didn't have NASCAR door bars, but that was resolved by JWL as being okay on the passenger side if you have an "X" in lieu of the NASCAR bars...
