Enduro - things we learned?

so far:
1 set of tires will last 6 hours or more.
a set of pads will last 12 hours or more.
a small rear main leak will not get better and left alone will cause major issues w/ the clutch durring a 4 hour race. pulling trans/clutch/flywheel today.
still shocked at the distance we ran on our first stint.

Clean pit stops go a long way toward winning a race.
A good crew is essential.
A fun crew is even more important.
Hoosiers will last 4 hrs (barely).
Enduros are a blast.

1. Start the enduro with fresh tires. Old tires won't get sticky, no matter how much you beat on them...

2. Stoptech brakes last forever... PFC01 pads are the best!

3. Rig your "fast fill" fuel jugs more than 6 hours before the enduro. It keeps you from spending an additional $60 on real race jugs at the track. 8)

4. $4.00/gallon for fuel "at the track" is a smoking deal for 93 octane. Thanks TWS!!!

5. Don't trust that 4 season old junkyard rack and pinion... it just won't make it. Invest in "on board" morphine system to take the bite off of the pain in your arms when the steering goes south.

6. Can't wait to do this again...

You forgot - Beat the piss out of the car for three days prior to enduro. Very Cool.

Turns out the car burned two quarts of oil over the weekend.
