    98 v6 with 5-speed

Anyone know what kind of 5 speed came in a 98 camaro with a V6?

My guess would be a weak one.

    Ask Donovan about V6 trannsmissions.

I mean weaker than a V-8 transmission. It may say T-5 on it, but I'd be leary of its capacity.

Smarter people may prove me wrong - of course.

No, it's a WC but won't bolt up to your BH.
    Been there, done that.

Some of the T-5's (V6) and (GM) have a different bolt pattern, so the bellhousing would be different... being that it would not bolt to your bellhousing possibly.

I know more about the Ford T-5's than the GM version... but internally they are just about identical... just some generational differences with bearing, oilers and some bushing here and there... most are interchangeable when it comes to internal parts... but some parts are not.

From what I have found out with the T-5's is that internally they are just about all the same if its a V6 or a V8... the difference coming from the gearing.

The two models are geared much different.

The guys at Hanlon Motorsports have been very helpful with all my adventures with T-5's.

Thanks Donovan! I have a T-5 already but i'm looking for a back up. I have a real good feeling that my first shake down runs are gonna be pretty rough so I'm just planning ahead. Drive it like you stole it....right JB?
