DFW to Hallett - do not use HWY 44 (Turner Turnpike)

Mitch just called and said he got 10 miles down it and traffic was at a dead stop for 15 minutes and its one lane ahead of him for many miles.
he says to take 35N to 33 and cut over to 99.
i'm sure he's seeing the worst of it due to it being 5pm when he called.
he was gonna call me back and tell me where it opens up.
    just an FYI.

i assume so. they are re-paving the road surface. from what i gather they stopped traffic to get the equipment acroos the road at the end of the day, and that just totally jacked it up.
use at your own risk. i'll be trying a new route.

75-69-412 is just as far from Carrollton. Took me 5 hours last week with 3 stops, one at Wally World. It took Chris 5 hours going to 35 route at midnight with no stops.
    What was your takeaway?
