    Dash Question

The rule states that the stock OEm dashboard must remain intact except to accommodate the installation of the roll cage.

Question is, after building the cage, I cannot get the dash back out. Is it allowable to cut the dash in half in order to get it out and then splice it back together when reinstalled??

I guess it depends on the way the down bars fit along the A-pillar. Seems like cutting it in half would be drastic but not sure how your car was built. Most I have seen just have the area cut by the a-pillar cut off. Are your down bars through, or behind the dash panel?

They go through the dash, right near the windshield, but we installed window barce bars, and those are what really locks the dash into place.

I always thought that was just GM quality and years of sun baking.
