I was in Lowe's this morning and got pissed off at their psecialty fasteners section and how piss poorly it was managed. Wnet to Home Depot and it was worse - DAMMIT!!!!!!

What's that?

After 27 years, I have acrued 5 weeks of vacation time. I get 2 additional days which are considered "bonus time off". If the plant performs well, we get an additional 20 hours and if we perform well in outages, we get another 20 hours. And this year we had 2 outages.

That doesn't include comp time ...

So that's 280 hours time off. Gotta burn it or lose it. Couple that with a Four 10s schedule ... it's a lot of time to take off.

For 09, I have each Thrusday and Monday of a race weekend scheduled as time off. And I still have almost 2 weeks of time remaining unscheduled.
