    Press Release...

We would like to introduce the #18 Bright Futures Foundation CMC2 Mustang. The car was built and prepped by Gage Motorsports and will be piloted by Jeremiah Kellam. Unfortunatly, there was just a little too much to fit into such a short offseason, so we will not be racing until Cresson.

A big thanks to all involved in helping getting us to this point.

The car looks awesome Jeremiah, WOW!

Like David said, you better be at the track.
Heck, I'll stop by on Friday on my way to the track and help you finish it.
One way or another you need to race this weekend.

Just not enough time... I'm pretty disappointed about it but I just don't feel confident about running the engine in its current state. I've done soooo much work in the 3 months, the engine was the one thing that was a question mark. I don't have the time (or the knowledge) to try and swap valve springs in the next 2 days. If I have to put off the start to my racing career 6 more weeks, so be it...

I'll just make damn sure that when I do show up, I do my part to put CMC2 on the grid in front of CMC...

what makes you think it is springs???? just because you changed cams??? valve float is caused by weak springs at high rpms and stronger springs from a cam change are needed if the cam is like 500+ lift...

I believe your problem is a simple fix... don't give up

    JK ...

Please do not under estimate this group of competitors.

I have witnessed countless times competitors neck deep in cars they don't own or drive in order to help a friend make the next session.

I've seen all-nighters pulled to get a hurt car on track the next morning.

There will lots of help to get your car in shape for R1 saturday morning.

I'm not under estimating anbody here, that's why this is the first place I posted my problem. The guys here are the main reason I chose to race with AI / CMC instead of another class.

Nobody else is giving any other ideas. I've spoke with Steve at HP, Jerry at Tommie Vaughn, an engine builder in Magnolia, a guy at Tomball Ford, and a few others, and they all believe it has to be the springs. I've searched for air leaks, messed with the timing.

I will still bring the car down to get annual tech, and to show it off, and if someone puts their mojo on it, then great. Otherwise, the wheels are in motion to have a new motor built, and in before Cresson.

I know NOTHIN' about you car but if you list details on the motor, fuel delivery and ignition, I know the blue oval guys can bring enough spares to hook you up... last year I drove to Cresson with a half finished car so I could at least compete on Sunday... I'm going up on Friday for annual, when were you thinking of going up?

Rob do you want me to get your car teched on Friday??? Jason can pull it down there when I go...
