With recommendations of 10.0 and 10.5 for wheel widths and thinking of the weight limit, what brands / models of wheels are out there as we move into R888 territory?

17x9.5 inch is the widest wheel size allowed for AI and CMC-2.
CMC only allows 16x8.
Greg is probably speaking of AI (Mustang?)...there really aren't any lightweight 17x10.5"...they are mostly made for the rear of the newer stangs with a Henke offset so you can run 315's in the rear of a modern stang. They are heavy, not very strong. Other choice is to buy a lot of 17x8 "snowflakes" from 99-2000 cars and have them widened, but again, too heavy and questionable strength. Then there are those sexy 3pc wheels at 500+ each.
F-bodies....unknown.
Otherwise, change your tire selection.
Ah, fugg it.
accually Greg Hughs has a 3rd gen CMC car. the old Rich Santos CMC car.
so for other than CMC, i couldnt guess what else he would be asking for.
but Matt, you do know it all, so your likely right w/ the longer sig and all.

Hadn't heard anyone chatting about 10 or 10.5" rims for CMC! There was just a VERY recent posting on the national AI board about it so I figured that was the reference, but I will voice what JWL has said..."if you don't like the wider tire on the current standard rim, buy a different tire."
Ah, fugg it.
Noticed? yes
Acknowledged? not so much
It's kind of like Todd posting cat pictures ...

Actually I saw somewhere the wide rim recommendation and didn't check the rules.
My real question is what kind of wheels are light, cheap and legal for CMC. I have the original IROCs but they seem pretty heavy (haven't weighed them, though).
