Does anyone know of someone locally (DFW) that can weld aluminum? I need a 1/2 inch long bead on a wheel and the min. $$$ wheels places want to charge is too much for 10 mins. worth of work. I have a set of where one of the wheels is leaking air where the center was welded to the rim.

You might try Marty Mary at Autocomp.

Not near Dallas but I have one of the best TIG welders in Texas working for me and I will weld it for you for free if you get it to Hutto.

I've got a guy that lives up by Gainesville that can probably do that easily. He's done welding for Neill's wings and some of my wheels.

Very quick turnaround too. If you bring them to me (Denton), I can courier them to/from the welder for you.

    Give him a buzz.

He normally does drag car stuff, but will do anything if need be.

Thanks for the replies, I used some epoxy to stop the leak for now. Once I dismount the tire I can take the wheel somewhere.
