    Fan not turning?

I just had to replace the dual capacitor in one of my units this weekend. Fan wouldn't turn when the AC kicked on. However, I could spin it and it would keep turning until it shut off then had to repeat the process.

thx all but I heard it squealing and saw the fan stop rotating.
Have the motor in hand and it doesn't turn. Got lucky.
Countryman brought over a old fan unit from the top of one of the a/c units he saved.
I presently have it on top to replace the round stand unit.
    It comes on w/compressor
I used some carpet protector plastic to dry in some areas.
    HELL YES is works!

    GL, email sent. thx.

GL had a direct fit replacement.
Working 100% at the moment and all back together.
BTW, with my  Jerry rigging it never went above 79* in the house

    Thx again GL, email sent.

You might be a redneck if you have more than one fan attached to your AC.

That looks like something straight out of a trailerpark here in Paris. :P
