    2009 Round 5 Points! ..... and more.

here are the points for 2009 Round 5 at TWS. contact me off-line for any mistakes that need to be corrected.

Congrats to those who set new track records.
AIX to none other than Sam Crumpacker on his first weekend w/ us. 2:01.470 in R3.
for CMC - Jeff Wirtz one agian rips a stunning qual lap of 1:57.900 Saturday and set track record w/ a 1:58.910 in R3.
and it hurts to type this, but for CMC-2 Jeremy Gunter set track record in R3 w/ a 1:58.674. good job. James Proctor made a good effort in Sunday qual w/ a 1:57.911.
and to not leave AI out, Darron Cooke poped a 1:52.890 in Sunday qual. not a track class record, but it is fast.

i have to say, i'm shocked at the times this group is running. each outing we are getting faster and faster. i've raced w/ folks from all over the country for 3 years running, and you guys are the class of the field.

Haha! Thanks for the props; there must not be a big market for AIX cars in the Aug TWS races. :? Any way it goes, I've got that record for at least a year!

Congrats to the rest of you for the blazin' fast times!

Holy crap! I just realized I placed 3rd in both Sunday races. It never occured to me.

In case anyone missed it, I had a rear brake assembly fail on the last lap, entering T10, on Sunday's last race. The cliper braket failed completely and the caliper assembly got punched through the barrel of the wheel, causing my spin. I got back out on track and didn't notice AI had a flat tire until T8, the first right hander. I limped it around, thinking I'd drive it back to the pits, but decided to park it for fear of damaging the wheel (at this point, I didn't realize the wheel was trashed.

So, I'm in the market for:
    • 1 10th Anniversary Cobra Wheel, grey, not gunmetal
    • 1 Cobra rear brake caliper bracket
    • 1 SN95 rear caliper
    • 1 Cobra rear rotor

I haven't done an autopsy to see if there was any other collateral damage.
