    New Transponder Mounting?

Transponder finally showed up so I got it mounted over the long weekend. Since the racing is pretty close around here, I figured this should just about do the trick...

Well, added to installing 4 halon nozzles, a 5lb fire bottle, fabricating a custom remote shifter, relocating 6 switches to overhead location(can't reach the dash while strapped in), adding passenger seat, installing firewall brace, relocating cool shirt chest, and who knows what I'm forgetting, it was a welcomed break to goof off for a bit. Gasping for air!!!

I don't think I'll get to the sub-frame connectors and relettering the car before Hallet, though. So much for buying a race ready car... I just love it!!!

I have "heard" of racers mounting 2 identical transponders on their car ... one in the nose and one in the back and each with a toggle switch powering them.

When one takes the qualifying lap, the rear one starts the counter. Sometime during the lap, the rear one is turned off and the front one turned on.

Oops, the Wayne thing went over my head. I must have missed something along the way.

Mitch, I thought you could not get two identically coded transponders. Sounds like a six-pack tale to me.

Wayne Manor did the same thing a few years back.
