    Does everyone go up 75?

for me and the west siders of DFW, it's a little further to go up 35 and then take the turnpike almost to Tulsa.

However, negotiating mid-cities and north Dallas traffic MORE than makes up for any time lost going the extra distance.

And up 35/Turnpike is 4 lane and 75mph the whole way.

I will have to break out the map again since last year. I'm also looking for the fastest way up (besides speeding) from Houston. Time for a TomTom? lol

Being only a few minutes away from the 75 on the north side of DFW, the 75 has always been my preference. We will be getting out before the Friday afternoon traffic though!

    I've used 75 and it will ba-bump you to death. Ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-bump...

I think i'm running up 35 this time. Mitch, are you talking about taking 35 clear to 412?

We did the 75 route once and then took the 35 route thru FT Worth last year....

I will never take the 75 route again... longer, slower and bumpy...

I can't recall the details (foggy memory) but I recall taking a toll road for most of the OK part - I don't think I stayed on 75 the whole way. FWIW, the toll road rocked IMHO, smooth paving and higher speeds.

I got no preferences on the route, just want to minimize stops and get there in one piece! Last time I went up 35 it was a mess near Denton, has that improved?

According to DeLorme Street Atlas 2006, the fast route is I-35, and the short route is 75.

Oddly enough, if you put Hallett in as the destination, Street Atlas takes you on I-35 all the way to guthrie and then sends you east to Hallett. If you put in Tulsa or Sand Springs, it sends you east at OKC on I-44(?)...
