    GM 10-bolt Rebuild?

Anyone here have any experience rebuilding/setting up a GM 10 bolt? I'm about to tackle this myself and would like any input you guys might have. Pyle Bros. may do great work but they want crack money to do it. My habit hasn't escalated to selling all my furniture to feed it yet...

Nope, I wussed out and paid to have it done.

You just need enough shims and enough beer to get the pattern right or to just look right - go for it.

    And don't use 2.73 gears.

I got a guy local that does gear changes for $100.

You must have furniture from IKEA, Gary.

I've done my own for years, but don't do anyone else's. Same with transmissions.

But I can tell you that the more you do, the easier (and quicker) it gets and you'll develop a feel for it. Mag base dial indicator, factory service manual (which is actually darn good, go read the entire section 4B), big impact gun, some shims, spare crush bearing(s), patience and good light. Taking the assy out of the car is nice...then set it on some stands/sawhorses and get to work.

    Costas
    cars and such...

Is that Jason? You have any 3.73's to sell or should I call Jason about getting some?

Why yes ... on both accounts.

I have a set of Genuine GM 3.73s sitting on the shelf.
