Safety gear - check expiration dates

Check belts, nets, fuel cell bladders, gloves, shoes and anything else safety related for date codes.

Put it on the holiday list of purchases if expired or damaged.

Mike, need input on my helmet. It's a SA2000.....is it good for the 2010 race season? Waiting for the 2010 helmets to hit the shelves before I buy.

    Thanks.

I've only had it for 4 years now...however, it has seen double duty at MANY HPDE's. I usually wear a head sock so it isn't too bad.....but it certainly doesn't smell GREAT by any means! LOL!!!!

Matt... It was posted on the CMC board a while back that SA2000 would be good for all 2010, since the new ones may not be out until mid-season 2010.

My SA2000 has seen lots of action over the last 10 years, but is still not that smelly..... at least to me.

I'm sure there would be a 1 year announcement since the SA2010 hasn't been released. AFAIK, the SA2000 is good through all of 2010.

Just to bring this to the top ...

I finally got my car out of the trailer after Eagle's Canyon.

Has some parts that were broken causing some handling issues. Funny how a steering rack moving around will create some turn-in, mid-corner and corner exit weirdness ...

But, I also checked my harness. FIA - Feb 2010
