Houston After Race - Friday and Saturday night

I bought my wife tickets to Blue Collar Comedy at the Toyota Center for Christmas - figured if the Race wives thing fizzles I'll not be in the doghouse for dragging her to Houston that way.
The show is Saturday night so we will be missing out on the hoopla that night but I am planning to get to Houston on Friday so I am game to bring the smoker for Friday night grilling and anyone is welcome to use it on Saturday. We just got our cow butchered and have a several roasts/brisket I can smoke and also have a couple of good sized pork loins (damn those are good eats!).

Gotta be honest...never thought I'd hear that from anyone I know personally.

I'm game for some pre-race partying. Remember NASA will be hosting their awards for 2009 saturday night.

    City boys ...

You haven't lived till you've de-horned steers and created a pan full of mountain oysters.

Burdizzo and bands don't count ...

My ex-Father-in-law called it 'trimmin' calves'... never would want to know the kind of pain that a pocket knife can inflict on the unsuspecting calf... and then there was the time when my great uncle let me select the rabbit we were going to have for dinner... traumatic experience for an 8 year old.

When I was about 10, my grandfather was raising a calf - we named him "Hamburger". He got slaughtered and eaten.

    Remember - "Meat is cow"

I may be a city boy, but I know what mountain oysters are. Nobody actually eats those though right? I mean, that's just stories told to scare city folk...right?

Dude, I like mine fried, but with my heart healthy consideration, I'll take them grilled.

You haven't lived until you've gone Snipe hunting. Al, you have to do this.
