November 9, 2010 (Richmond, CA) -The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Al Fernandez has been selected as Competition Director for NASA Texas. Al has been tasked with ensuring huge fields of competition entries. His plan to accomplish this are through fairness and fun, adding annual tech locations throughout the area and development of race group and class leaders. One of the first tasks on his list involves bringing NASA's popular Spec944 class to Texas.
Al's current roles for NASA include serving as the CMC National Director. He has also been the Texas American Iron and CMC Regional Director, and a Race Director for the NASA National Championships. Al currently resides in Houston Texas.
