What transponders are the AI/CMC cars running?

Looking at going ahead and purchasing one so that I can have it installed before MSRC to start tracking lap times on my car. I read the CCR but didn't see a specific brand or style mandated. What transponders are you guys running?

Figured I'd answer this one in public.

AMB260 for now. While we are evaluating the Tag system, we aren't ready to do anything with it.

    AMB260 hard wire.
I personally would never go with the rechargable ones. There are enough things to keep track of during a race weekend and plugging your transponder into the charger shouldn't be one of them.

^^^ This. If you want to move it between multiple cars, a quick disconnect is easy enough to wire up.

Tho with a rechargable one, it's easier to zip tie it to Michaels car and get those fast lap times for the weekend.

Never had an issue with a rechargeable, even for a long event like Nationals. To each their own though
