    Fuel at Hallett

This was in an email from Connie today:

Fuel: 104 GT plus Sunoco unleaded/110 purple racing fuel and 91(limited supply) pump gas
at the fuel facility just north of Tower.
I think my Camaro uses about a gallon of gas for every 10 minutes of track time. I probably need to buy a second fuel jug, but two won't get me through the weekend.

What does everyone do for fuel at Hallett?

Lug as much fuel as I can.

Really? Sounds like a perfect enduro car.

It'd probably only go 7mins on one gallon with a quick driver (/ducks)

Wayne - you can borrow two of my 5 gallon cans if you need to. I have a wedding to attend so I'll be missing this one

Take plenty of 93 with you. So you can usually make it through a weekend by showing up full and just one 5 gallon? I don't log it that closely but normally fill up after every session. But 1 gallon for every 10 minutes sounds pretty low. I suggest you fill up the tank after every session to keep weight on the rearend too.

I'm close to the edge of knock with 93 octane (11.5:1 compression) so I mix a few gallons of 104 in with the 91 for some safety margin. Hallett can be pretty hot this time of year. Last year I bought some race gas locally and hauled it up to mix with the 91. This year I think I'll just haul some 93 in the two jugs I have and then mix 104 and 91 at the pump when I run out of 93. If the 91 runs out at the track I can take my empty jugs into town..

    I'm about 1 gal / 5 min
I usually average about 25-30 galons / weekend. I'm planning for a little more than that with the longer races at Hallett.
