    V8 Supercars Bathurst

Ok guys, Speed channel may be no more but I made a call to Grant (some of your may have met him at TWS in April) back in Tasmania and he's going to get us hooked up. Should be getting the top 10 shoot out, which is on the night before Bathurst and sets the pole for the big race, plus the race from go to whoa. Basically way better than we could have expected from Speed's delayed and shortened telecast. If enough of you guys express some interest here then I'll host a Bathurst party at my place. Plenty of room to stay, camp or just turn up for the day. Likely the weekend after the race, depending on FedEx

It's the biggest race of the year back home in Australia this weekend. This link has a good interview with Dick Johnson, a legend in Australian motor racing, about his massive crash in 1983 and the tribute livery that will be run on this years car. In the proceeding years Dick campaigned a mustang in the same livery. Some weekends I miss my island home....

I noticed that my DVR is set to record at least part of the race this weekend.
