    CMC "Cobra Cam"

Just wanting to throw some info out there... don't know if it's true. Maybe someone who has done the swap (Varner, Bell??) can clarify??

    The 1993-1995 SVT Cobra Cam:

    209/209 @.050 .451/.451 with a 118 Lobe Seperation (1.6 Rockers)

    209/209 @.050 .479/.479 with a 118 Lobe Seperation (1.7 Rockers)

That's is a small weak ass cam!!! and a 118 LSA??? Geesh, were they going for less emissions or what?!

Need something NASTY in the .570 lift range with OVER 230 duration and a 108 or 107 LSA if you want some power?!
    Ah, fugg it.

Well, hell! There's your restrictor!!! LOL! That thing belongs in a tractor...NOT a racecar!

I was actually looking at a set of new cams for my car the other day but something told me to stray away for now! .620/.630 235/230 on a 106 LSA....problem is they require a LOT of piston surgery and a $600 set of valve springs!!! All in name of 400rwhp out of 300 cubes and 7500 rpm!

Maybe I need to go down to CMC?!!!
    Ah, fugg it.

And how many cubes does that "street" car have...? 383? I am sitting on 300 and the cams that are in the car now aren't much smaller than the specs I gave! Atleast mine doesn't weigh 2 full tons!!!

I did see an interesting crate motor in my latest jeg's catalog last night.....LS2 crates with carb intakes....can't remember the price but would be a great "class" motor for TSRS cars or NASA stock car class!
    Ah, fugg it.
