Camaro knock sensors and solid engine mounts
I just put solid mounts on my 99 Camaro and I know there is potential for a false detonation reading from the knock sensors because of it. I am having no luck finding someone who can do a sensor delete before this weekend. I have a couple of questions...
If I've run it for a few laps at TWS and there was no problem, am I in the clear or is it possible that the sensors could give the false reading randomly and not consistently? And if the random part is likely, is anyone able and willing to do a delete trackside on Friday?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Misty

Speedtek shouldbe able to do it. they are not that far fromthe track (30-40) minutes. its possible they could come to the track to do it. let me post over on LS2.com and see if anyone there can come to the track and do it this weekend.

Thanks for all the help, guys!
I talked to MTI today. I didn't have an issue after testing for a few laps at TWS, so most likely I won't, according to them. I don't know yet what time I'll get to Cresson. Best guess is 3ish on Friday, but the car will be there Thursday night or early Friday morn. and will be going on the dyno at the track sometime Friday. Should give me a clearer picture. Think I'll call Keith, in case there is a problem, maybe he can help. When I PM'd AJ yesterday, he said the shop is really busy, though. Good for them, sad for me.
