    FIA belts...

Rules question here -- I want to be 100% sure of this to avoid any Saturday AM surprises...

I have a set of G-Force camlock belts who's SFI cert expires this month. These belts also have an FIA certification that is good until the end of 2008.

Are these still legal? The CCR states that the FIA cert is acceptable, but it doesn't address situations where the belts have two certifications.

FIA belts have a 5 year life. If, and only if, they have an FIA tag then the later date would be ok.

If they have an SFI tag only but the website says they meet FIA standards, then the SFI 2 year life is what you follow.

Check -- I got the FIA tag.

BTW -- for any one interested in getting FIA belts from G-Force -- you have to request the it, otherwise you get only the SFI tag!
