So, I was reading the newspaper in my satellite office this morning when I came across and article about Texas Stat Comptroller of Public Accounts have recently updated their database.

The plant is running smoothly, so I surf over to

https://txcpa.cpa.state.tx.us/up/Search.jsp

And begin searching on names.

Low and behold, in 2006, Mid-Century Life Insurance submitted a lump sum of money to the Comptroller in the name of my Dad in 2006. He passed away in 2000.

The claiming process is buried in forms and paperwork, but the amount is small and shouldn't be too difficult. I have copies of the documentation they require.

Interesting ....
