Unfortunately for Mitch, he's pretty resourceful.

Oh man I am jealous of the lifts! (and the tire station) I am so sick and tired of crawling under my car after welding the exhaust up this weekend I would kill for one. What brand of lifts are you going with? I have seen the ones in the Northern Tool catalog and have always wondered if they are worth a damn or not.

I was actually about to buy a new lift from Gemini Lifts in Dallas ($1600) but one of the places that I worked at in College Station just out of college (Pro Car) went out of business and I got these two Weaver 7000# two-post lifts for $200 each(!). I recommend that you do your homework on any lift you consider. Some of the Chinese made lifts can be dangerous are routinely overrated. Look at the arm attachment points and the trunion to be sure these are heavy gauge steel. I've been acquiring the equipment over the last 8 months and have found very good bargains. Do not pay more than $1000 for a used lift as very good new ones can be had for about $600-700 more. The tire machine was a chance find in South Houston. I was looking for a used tire for the trailer and saw this machine in the back of the shop covered with tires. I asked if it was for sale and wound up paying about $400 for it. They were not using any more because it couldn't do 24" wheels! I don't plan to EVER own a vehicle with 24" wheels unless it is a tractor trailer rig.

Got to ride in one of these, today.

Brought in for some hands-on training to package and transport contaminated, injured individual.

I was able to go along and get some nice aerials of the plant.

    All in a day's work ....
