Well if we are gonna take this route. 1976 Leyland Mini-ONE day we will make it a CVAR car and a 1989 Mustang GT State Trooper Special-ONE day we will either make it a CMC car or just a track day toy, o and I forgot about the 1983 Chevy Camaro-ONE day we will race it again in AI, if we ever find the time to complete one of those projects.....or extra money for them in that case. If I had the money I'd buy this almost duece ready 4th gen...Keep the car.

ok - 91 Mustang LX 5.0 street/open track car - occasionally driven, 70 Chevelle 307 powerglide 37,000 original grandma miles - dormant, 69 Torino GT fastback 428 - dormant, plus the daily cars of less interest, oh and three freaking SN95 Mustang bodies to built into the new CMC2 car, and a door from the old CMC1 car.

My 1992 Mazda Miata will probably get a 302 transplant when I quit racing. I asked the wife about buying the Monster Miata kit just in case they go out of business before then. The "no" was pretty quick coming back.

that 89 Supercoupe would make a fantastic chump car. HUGE fuel tank and can be fast. I hear micheal loves them too.

I'd put money on the head gaskets blowing in the first 30 minutes of the race. My SC was an 80k mile throw-away car.

The head gaskets went "poof" during an autocross in College, so I wouldn't bet any money on enduro longevity.

However, having the check-engine light come on on a top-speed run up 75 in Richardson at about 145-150 (not too sure since the speedo stopped at 120) and then start "dinging" due to excessive boost pressure was pretty impressive. To this day, Michael doesn't remember hearing the "ding"... I did though.
