Maybe for Plan E... motor is in the car and my best guess is that it's timing related. Will probably try to get the battery charged and troubleshoot some more this weekend. I mean the family is coming to my house for the holiday... i might as well go see the race car.

Orange is Fast!
CMC-NT01 FTW!
Because I already have the 350 that I purchased for the 27 car two years ago... bearings, rings and valve springs for the 305 are less than $300...
you find me a COMPLETE LT1 swap INCLUDING ECU and wiring for less than $300 and I'm "ALL IN!"...
Everybody tells me to make the swap but NOBODY will fund it... just sayin'
An LT1 will cost more than $300. But $300 spent on the TPI 305 is still bad money spent. That keeps you $300 more way from a top CMC car. You only lacking power at this point.
I paid $800 for mine w/ harness and computer. That was in 2004 when it was still a popular swap motor. W/ the LS1 the only option now days, the LT1's are much less in demand and should be cheaper.
I would convert that car to carberated 350 and never look back. If you can't afford an LT1, a carbed 350 is the way to go.

The Sept 22-23 Central Region event has been canceled according to a post I saw on the National site in the Texas forum.
