This isn't on the race car. Anyone have any productive comments about what is going on with this pad and rotor? Pads and rotors were both put on fresh.

It looks like a pad slap (didn't turn the rotors) are all parts new?

Hmm-looked at my spreadsheet and pretty sure the rotors were replaced with pads. But I didn't realize it was 40k miles ago. Trying to think if I did a pad slap since then as that would make more sense.

Had some that looked similar to this but most lived down dirt roads and got crap stuck under the pads

If you took the picture a while ago, what does it look like now? There seem to be chunks of metal in the grooves of the pads. I know they are probably semi-metallic, but those chunks look bigger than normal. Do they also correlate to the grooves in the rotors?

Camaro, Mustang, doesn't matter to me, I'll race it.
Good points Horton hears a Who. I'll pull them out this weekend to check for metal in the pads and correlation to the rotors. Of course that will keep me from jb welding my exhaust.

With only constructive comments this is likely to be a really short thread!
