That hits the nail on the head. Unfortunately it's not just kids. In my profession when I went through training we worked every night or every other night for years on end. Didn't miss much and learned a lot. Hell, I still work 80.9 hours a week, but who's counting. Now the trainees have work and call hour restrictions. They need their down time, sleep time, quiet time, yet the number of years of training are unchanged. The result is very poorly trained Docs entering the work force, not ready for reality. Plays right into the Obama-care future. God help us if we get sick and need a good MD. they are getting few and far between.
