So the #82 team is back home in Houston. With three drivers we were able to drive straight through. Got to see the AI race on Speedcast (Wow). We'll see how tech goes.
I'll try and update a bit later after I sleep a bit...

Here is a link to the weekends racing. You can move thru the vid to find the race you want to watch.
CMC is around the 49 minute mark. AI is around the 211 minute mark.

Enjoy.
Dan, Cody and Kent all get some video time in the same corner....but probably not the way they would have preferred.
Those sure look like some expensive CMC2 cars leading the race.
That darn dyno must suck bad for repeatability.
I talked to Steve Poe quite awhile on Friday. The car Chris was driving is for sale for $20,000. He said a decent 2005 GT can be bought for around $10,000. Black interiors bring good money on ebay...tan is landfill material. Shocks and Bushings sounds like the only suspension mods. Anders and James Ray have aftermarket calipers but Chris was on stock. A do-it-yourselfer can build an S197 for $15,000 or so mostly depending on how well one can get a cage installed. The days of the Fox cars are over.

When you grow up one day (doubtful) and help out to run a National event, then perhaps you'll understand why results take longer to finalize. We worked damn hard to validate everything so that when the results are released, they are 100% correct. Better to take time getting it right, then making a mistake and having to redo them.
The AI Championship race was a nail-biter. Yes, Dean Martin and Chris Cobetto took a commanding lead, but TJ Bain was an animal...De Salvo, Golinello and Bain fought an excellent battle. TJ worked his way into 3rd place with a few excellent passes (from the tower, it was clear De Salvo had been holding him up), then destroyed 4th gear during the race, yet still managed to finish 4th. It proves that effort and prep can pay off. Several folks in the tower were cheering TJ on.
As for Greg Brown's dyno - from my own personal experience, it's been accurate for my car, as well as several others. In 2006 at Mid-Ohio, I dyno'd ~240, and had to get it back down. In 2010 at MMP, I dyno'd 238. All the other cars that were dyno'd came in pretty consistent throughout the weekend. We dyno'd Kent's car 7 times before doing what had to be done, and it was a real shame to see it happen.

A little bit of trivia - Anders drove the CMC2 Championship car home on Sunday, 4 hours from Mid-Ohio to Michigan. It's still licensed and insured.
