Misty, I need your phone number(s). Been needing to talk to you about a few things. call me @281-414-1738 or email to [email protected]...

BTW what happened to your original ABS system??? I would be interested in experimenting with it in the 3 car...
the original 4 channel setup went bye bye a long time ago. Matt has installed a stock 3 channel system in the car and we had to change out the rear axle to get the correct sensor setup. We found that the ABS system will not work without certain "body control units" that were part of the stock instrument cluster and now that I have a painless harness which eliminated EVERYTHING stock not used, we don't have any of those control units. So the axle swap and ABS is more or less useless unless we find an electronics nerd to trick the ABS ECU into thinking those little black boxes are still there. Otherwise it won't power up or goes into ICE mode. Matt decided his time would be better served by figuring out a way to put the FR500 system into the camaro as it's a stand alone unit and about $12k cheaper than a Bosch unit. Z06 unit is pointless as it has stability control which is illegal since you have to use the full corvette harness to make it work and remember to turn it all off before the race. Goal is to have the FR500 unit in both cars (his first, mine second) regardless of what the rules state, but I am more interested in the track width changes if any. Mostly want to see if my $6k investment in wheels is still safe. If I can run 1/2" spacers, I suppose that is ok, but if the camaros get more than that, I'm not comfortable running a 1" spacer given the crappy hubs on the 4th gens which aren't hub centric. I might be able to have custom spacers made but then fenders become and issue too. Would have been nice to have the rules a month ago to get all this stuff in motion but as usual, it probably won't be till end of december.

Marshall, if you want a starting point on the weight penalties for the FR system...it should start at 400lbs. the 3500lb S197 cars are already out braking the 3100lb cars by over 100 feet if you watch the incar videos from Ohio. once you put that system in a 3100# fox, the S197 guys will be complaining and the GM guys will still be left out in the cold....so what is the point? Until the spec tire is named, any testing is useless. We know all the mustang guys in TX are looking at the system...start doing something for the GM folks please.

David, you would have the same issue we are having with the GM ABS unit. Probably not a good use of time. If we had a stock F-body with complete harness at our disposal, matt could probably make it work given he could figure out the signal voltages and sequences on the solenoids.

I'll try to give you a shout this weekend.
